Global Category Contest Guidelines
Submission Deadline: August 31st, 2025

“Eye Level Literary Awards” is a global 100-day event to encourage children’s reading and writing activities and to develop children’s literature.
The World Youth Culture Foundation holds this contest every year to allow children to fully demonstrate their writing talents.
The winners receive a cash prize, and children who win overseas are invited to the awards ceremony held in Korea

Eligibility
  • Illustrative Writing
    Elementary school 3rd grade or below, or children aged 10 or younger
    ※Born on or after January 1, 2016
    ※Individual or group submissions allowed
  • Writing
    Elementary school 4th grade through 1st grade in high school, or students aged 11-17
    ※Born between January 1, 2009 and December 31, 2015
    ※Individual submissions only

    June 1, 2025 (Sun) - August 31, 2025 (Sun) until 5pm
  • Announcement of Results
    Expected by the end of October 2025(on the website and individually notified to awardees)
  • Award Ceremony
    November 28, 2025 (Fri) at 16:00 at Daekyo Tower, Seoul, Korea
How to submit
  • Individual
    Online submission through the contest website
  • Group
    Must follow one of the two submission methods:
    1. Online Submission: Scan the submission and attach the entry form as a file
    ※ Please ensure that the work’s entry number matches the entry number listed in the form, and submit all files as a compressed ZIP file.
    Example: [Submission] File Name - GroupName_Name_EntryNumber
    2. Postal Submission: Complete the group submission on the contest website, print [the confirmation] and send it along with the submission via postal mail
    ※ Submissions must be printed single-sided on A4 paper (double-sided printing is not allowed).
    ※ The entry number specified in the [Entry Form (Excel file)] must correspond exactly to the entry number
    written on the submitted work.

Notice

* Rights and Responsibilities of Submissions

- The copyright (both economic and moral rights) of the submitted work belongs to the applicant and remains so even after winning the prize.
- The contest organizers may process, modify, or supplement the winning works as secondary works.

* Notice before applying

- Taxes and fees associated with prizes are the responsibility of the awardees
   (based on each country’s regulations)
- In the following cases, the award may be canceled, and the certificate and prize money will be retrieved:

  • 1. If the work is found to be plagiarized or in violation of the contest guidelines
  • 2. If the work is modified by adults (parents, teachers) or altered from a poem included in a textbook
  • 3. If the work is created or modified using Artificial Intelligence (AI)

- (Foundation) World Youth & Culture Foundation will dispose of non-awarded works within a year after the end of the contest.
- Applicants may request the return of submissions within one month. The cost of returning the works will be borne by the applicant.
